How Do I Convince My Mom to Get Contact Lenses and What Are Some Good Types of Contacts?

I want some contact lenses. My mom doesn’t want me to get them. I’ve been wearing glasses for three years, and I am 13. what are some good brands and such?

I am 13 too. I got my contacts when I was 12 and I am very happy. Talk to your optometrist about the lenses right for you. I use Acuvue Oasis with Hydraclear for Astigmatism. I went through a two week trial and my optometrist told me if I did not like my lenses I could go back to glasses. However, I loved my contact lenses and kept them. You need to show your mom you can handle them and will care for them and not just goof off because if you do you could end up with a really bad eye infection leaving you blind. So just take care of them always and show your mom you will, and after talking to your doctor make sure its what you want and then hopefully you’ll get them
Go to your optomotrist and have the doctor go over the pros and cons of contacts with you. I did this with my mom, and we got a trial pair and I had to prove to her that I was able to take care of my contacts and know how to put them in and take them out. The doctor will recomend the best pair for you, I wear Acuvue Oasis. I like them, they’re always moist even if I fall asleep with them in and they’re really easy to take in and out.
