My contact lens prescription is -7.5 in both eyes. How can you convert this into the 20/20 type number?

Unfortunately there is not conversion factor for the two, since seeing 20/20 is subjective and differs from person to person. But there are estimates – for a prescription as high as yours the highest letter on the chart (the big E) is probably unreadable – this means that your vision is worse than 20/400 or >20/400.
