How Do You Get a Contact Lens in with a Power of -.50? It's So Thin!?
I’ve been wearing a contact lens on one eye, but the contact itself is fairly thick. My doctor prescribed a slight prescription lens for the other eye, but the lens itself is so thin that it just folds over. Was the doctor right in even prescribing this lens?

That is very strange.
I just opened a trial lens of a -0.50 , and a -1.50…and there is no difference in the feel or handling.
If the new one they gave you is the same brand as your other lens , it should normaly handle the same.
I have seen it happen before that a lens just won’t hold it’s shape long enough to insert , and was considered to be defective. Replacing it with another one fixed that problem.
If you have too much trouble with the handling, go back and tell them about it. It isn’t normal.
