How Important Is the Diamater of a Contact Lens for It Too Fit?
I was thinking of buying Black Out contacts for my eyes for halloween ( the kind which makes your iris and pupil completely pitch black and a little larger) the problem is, is that my normal prescription contacts are Base Curve 8.6 and Diameter 14.2…the Black Out lens are Base Curve 8.6 and Diameter 14.5….even though the diameter is .3 larger, will the lens fit my eyes without any problem, or at least be able to keep them in without them falling out?? thanks so much!

I use lenses all the time, and what you’re asking for really depends on whether the black out lenses you want to wear are soft or hard.
You see, if they are soft, then it won’t be much of a problem. You can put them on and they will take the shape of your eye. However, if they are hard (i.e. they are more likely to have a fixed size), then I don’t think you should be using them. Our eyes are very delicate, and just a tiny scratch in your retina can make them more prone to catching infections.
think about this,,,,,you buy a shirt that you can’t fit??, you buy shoes that hurt your feet??
Could u use a lens as big as a plate? Size matter. Ask my ex girlfriends
Why would you even consider gambling with your eyes?
