How long you can wear your contact lenses depends upon what type of lenses they are and you own eye sensitivity. I have had 2 different types of contacts. First the soft contacts that you used until they ripped. The others were the soft lens disposables that you toss after 2 weeks. My eye doctor told me that the 2 week contacts were safer for eyes because they weren’t worn long enough for infectious material to begin growing on the lens if they were not cleaned properly.

In both cases, I was able to wear them 18 hours or more (if the day required it). The thing about sleeping in your contacts, is that contacts depend upon moisture to float above the surface of your eyeball and to remain flexible. If you are sleeping, you are not blinking, therefor a constant supply of moisture is not getting to the lens and it may dry out. Drying out may damage the lens’s ability to remain flexible, and could cause it to stick to your eye.

dont sleep with them in, its bad for your eyes.
You can put them in when you wake up, and take them out before you go to sleep. Thats how long you can wear them.

when u first get your contacts you should wear them for four hours, the next day six, then eight, ten, and twelve. After that, you can wear them as long as you like, DON’T SLEEP WITH THEM ON!!!!!

you can wear your contacts for two weeks only but try to take them out when you get home, if you use them for school or work or whatever that is fine but for a whole day is not okay…and DO NOT sleep in it them, because i am currently suffering from mild blindness due to sleeping wih contacts and not just that but you can get really bad infections if you do not wash them properly…so good luck but i would actually recommend glasses instead..
