How Long Can I Wear These Contact Lenses for?

I bought the monthly ones but I wear them for for than a month. WIll this effect my eyes? I take them off every night and clean them. I am trying to save money so I just want to know how long can I wear these contact lenses for?

If you wear them every day for 30 days, you need to be changing into a fresh pair. If you don’t wear them every day, you can probably wear them a week or so beyond the 30 days.
I don’t recommend patients over wearing lenses much because it can lead to corneal issues. Some corneal issues can actually prevent you from ever wearing contacts comfortably again, so realize that you may someday not be able to wear contacts at all because of over wearing them today.

I wear the 30 day Night & Days. (there breathable) so I sleep with them and wear them in my eyes for about 6 weeks and then throw away. My doctor doesnt recommend I do that, but I just had my eyes checked and they are perfectly healthy. Ive been doing this for about 8 yrs now. My doctor says Im unfortunately one of the lucky ones that can do that. So be careful if you try that. I find that taking them in and out of your eyes every day could cause more damage because you are handling them all the time and most people dont clean them well enough, which will cause eye infections. If I find my eyes are irratated on a certain day I will pull them out to give my eyes a rest and wear my glasses. Hope this helps.
Its risk isn’t it ? Tracy has been lucky , but the longer she does this the more likely her luck is to run out. Yours might run otu sooner. I’d suggest if you are trying to economize that you dont’ wear lenses are couple of days a week. Is it worth risking your eyesight? Tracy’s argument is a bit like saying I’ve smoked 40 a day all my life and not got cancer so its not a problem.
