How Long Can You Keep a Monthly Contact Lens in a Case for?

i lost my contacts this morning when i put them on so i opened a new contact lens, but then i found the old one. my lens are disposed monthly but since I am not going to wear the one i just opened, how long can i keep it in the case for?

i think till whenever, leaving it in the case is like leaving it in the pack, the pack that it was in before you opened it had solution in it and it was closed right? thats like leaving it in a case
i would think that the old one you found would no longer be good, or will wear out easily since it was out in the open for a long time
Just replace the new sets, you only 1 pair of eyes but u can buy many contact lenses.
