How Long for Contact Lenses to Get Ready?

I want to get my sons contact lenses coz hes had enough of glasses. hes 15. how many days will it take for them to get ready ? and how much would contact lenses cost?

The optometrist usually can give/order you a complimentary pair of disposable lenses to see if you like wearing them, usually takes a week and comes with the office visit, he will also teach you how to wear/care for them.
