How Long Will It Take Me to Actually Get Contact Lenses When I Haven't Been Fitted for Them or Anything?
I’m going to the eye doctor in a couple weeks for an exam and I’m interested in contact lenses. How long will the evaluation/fitting process take? And what actually happens during that?
Also, once I have my prescription, how long will it take to actually get them?
Oh and how long does the actual fitting take?

I’m not totally sure, but I looked into contacts about two months ago and this is what I remember,
It depends on your vision (I have some weird eye thing I forget the name of and im near-sited) so for me they would have to make a special kind of contact… which would take a while. But if you have a common eye problem (just near sited or far sighted) it isn’t supposed to take that long ( I think) The fittings really easy, I got mine done even though I ended up sticking with my glasses, and it took around 10 minutes to et all my eye info.
This might be different for you though because this was when I just got my glasses so they did the air test and the measuring and the letter chart ect. with me before I asked about the contacts.
Hope my experience helps!
First time? Are you gong to an Optomologist MD. You are cool. Do not go to a Mall store. They are hacks. A good doctor will guide you.
The first weird sensation is touching your eyeball. You eyeball is not use to that sensation. It is weird. A good doctor’s practitioner will guide you through the process. One the lens is in, it might fell weird. The cool thing is that you can see so much better. Wow! When you are comfortable, they will allow you to put it other lens in. Double Wow. Most patients exclaim,"Holy Shit". Just be aware ther is a lot of maintaince involved.
