It deppends how you feel, really the best thing is have a pair of glasses and use them at home for make your eyes rest.
I think the "normal" use is 8 hours a day.
Try to use some tears for refresh your eyes when you’re using contacts.

You can wear them all day but if they are bothering you clean them and put them in again. Some days there is something in the air and they just dont feel right. they also stretch your eyelids.
