How Much Does an Eye Exam Cost at Shopko, and Can You Buy Someone a Gift Certificate for It?

A friend of mine is having headaches and vision problems. She can’t afford to get her eyes checked and wont accept help to have it done. If there is a way to pre-purchase the exam she wouldn’t be able to complain about having it done. I’m just curious if anyone knows what it would cost.

Marc- You’re a good person to offer your friend help. I do not know whether she needs to be examined by a physician (ophthalmologist) or an optometrist. Probably, an optometrist at Shopko, if available, would suffice initially and cost less. Since prices may vary at different stores in different cities, I suggest you phone the store you have in mind and explain your situation and your friend’s situation, and ask them for the cost and if they know of how to get help for someone short of money. The store would probably be very happy to allow you or anyone to prepay a gift cost.
