I want to get prescription contact lenses so i know i have to visit my eye doctor before getting contacts..how much does it usually cost

You will find some of the larger chains offer a free contact lens trial and free clinical time with a "contact lens" optician. If you go to a local independent opticians they are likely to charge between £20 and £40 for a full clinical assesment for conatct lenses, probably with a fully certified Optometrist, and still give you a free 5 day set of lenses to try for yourself.
