You need to have had a full eye examination within the last six months before you will be able to trial lenses.

You will find some of the larger chains offer a free contact lens trial and free clinical time with a "contact lens" optician. If you go to a local independent opticians they are likely to charge between £20 and £40 for a full clinical assesment for conatct lenses, probably with a fully certified Optometrist, and still give you a free 5 day set of lenses to try for yourself.

depending on where you go and what type of insurance you have the price varries. i suggest to check your insurance plan and then call a few eye places. i get a free exam every year
