How Often Do You Need to Change Your Contact Lens Case?
I thought that as long as you thoroughly clean the contact lens case, you’re fine. Like, instead of discarding the contact lens case after a certain number of months, just wash it with soap and water and let it air dry and it will be good as new to use for another few months.
Also, where can I buy a new Opti-Free lens case [the one that's green and white]? I can only find the Bausch & Lomb ones [that's all white]

You are right about the contact lens case washing and air drying. Rinse with hot water and air dry. It is stupid to change and pollute the environment more with contact lens cases. I know, some solutions have a new case in each new bottle, but no need to change the case as soon as the solution is finished!
Now, if you cannot find the Opti Free case, get another with other colors maybe. There are plenty types/colors around, even in internet, and in Optical stores. The B&L are not the only ones around.
Most people will recommend changing the case every 1 to 3 months, even if you do clean them properly. Bacteria can build over time. A lot of solutions do have a case in each box, so I prefer to change cases each time I get a new bottle of solution. I’d rather be safe than sorry, when it comes to eye infections, etc.
I have seen the Opti-Free cases sold separately at some Super Wal Marts.
You can also buy boilable contact lens cases. You can practically use them forever, because when you boil them, it eliminates all bacteria in the cases. They are very cheap, and since they are able to be used so long, they’re very economical too.

I asked my eyedoctor that and she said that its a waste of money to buy a new case every month when all you have to do to keep it clean is to wash it with soap and water.Hope this helped
http://www.coloredcontacts.com recommends at least every 3 months.
