How Often Do You Need to Get a Contact Eye Exam?

I got contacts and a exam almost a year ago. My contacts supply is running out and I have to decide if I should get a eye exam or just order them online. Is it necessity to get a contact eye exam every year or every 2 years.

Thanks!

I think it’s every year, but call your eye doctor to find out.

You should get an eye exam every year to make sure the contacts are still the right prescription and to make sure you don’t have any nasty things like corneal ulcers starting. What you CAN do is have the exam and, if it sounds like the lenses are cheaper online, order them online instead of through the eye doctor’s shop.

Well the rule is every year ONLY IF you think your eye sight is changing again. If it is changing then go and get another eye exam/contact exam. But you have to make sure your yearly exam doesn’t expire like mine did. Unfortunately. So if you NEED contacts badly then go and get another exam to get them.

actualy it all depends on your age and type of eye problem

If you are still young and your eye prescription usually changes slightly after each visit then you should go every year. However if you are in your mid twenties or older than you are probably ok not going. But being safe is better.
