How Often Should I Have an Eye Exam?

I was wondering how often I should have an eye exam. I am 18 and got glasses last year for driving and distance because I am nearsighted.

Your optician should have advised you when you should be checked. The normal time is every two years, but if you feel your vision has changed you could go sooner.
If you have no complications, every other year is good enough. If you have diabetes or another medical problem known to cause eye problems, then you’d be seeing an ophthalmologist who would tell you how often to come in.
im 19 and my contacts ran out already. i get a year supply and everytime i have to get more the optometrist needs to give me another test. i think its by law that after a year they cannot supply you with more without giving you another test.
