The main purpose of any glasses or contact lenses is to improve your vision as much as practical. Only your optometrist can give you a good measure of how effective they are for you. At your next eye exam, ask for your measurements, both uncorrected and corrected vision. Your prescription is relevant only to the amount and type of correction needed for your eyes.
