This depends on the kind of contact lenses you are getting. Soft lenses are much easier to get used to than hard. But it does take some time to get used to having something foreign in your eye. Just be patient and it will definitely pay off. I don’t think there are any ways to "desensitize" your eyes other than just getting used to the lenses themselves. Good luck.

no. if you can touch your eyeball now you’ll be fine. i find it helps if you don’t watch what you’re doing with that eye. put the contact on the white and move it over.

youll get used to it, I used toi have a hard time putting on eyeliner now I can put it on correctly without looking in a mirror and I couldnt put contacts in and ended up putting the eye drops all over my face anywhere but my eyes but then I got used to it and can put in contacts without a mirror and can put in eyedrops without missing it is just a new routine that you will adapt to

its actually pretty hard to put one in the first time, especially if you have an astigmatism like i do, you can actually practice touching your eye to get rid of the eye touching fear

It can be a little tough at first, but you’ll get use to it ..
I’ve used contact lenses for about 2 years now. And it was a little difficult at the beginning, but it didn’t take long till I got the hang of it.

You can go to bausch and lomb’s website and they have some great tips on how to insert and remove contact lenses, as well as good tips on proper care.
