How Would I Go About Getting Colored Contact Lenses?
As far as I know, I don’t need glasses or anything of that sort.
I just want contacts.
Will I need to go to an eye doctor to get them?
& How much do they generally cost?
thanks

Even if you’ve never needed glasses, you will still need a contact lens prescription in order to get colored contact lenses. I get my glasses and contact lenses from Target Optical, and they charge around $80 for each eye exam with insurance. My eyesight hasn’t changed for three years, but I still get a regular yearly check-up just to make sure my eyes are healthy.
Contacts aren’t for everyone, so it’s important to know they’ll work with you through an eye doctor. The colored contact lenses you will probably get are Acuvue 2 Colours, so check out their website.

The Acuvue website also has a page about contact lens exams:

If you wear makeup, you should check out this page, too:

As for the cost, it depends on what sales and promotions are going on, as well as what kind of contact lens you buy. All contacts are around $16-$20 a box. Target has really good deals all year long, and it’s convenient to shop for pencils, binders, cereal, lip gloss, and your contact lenses all at the same time! I went to Target Optical a few weeks ago to get a new year’s supply of contacts, and I decided to get a new pair of glasses, as well. The total came to around $300, which is a good deal, because I purchased contact lenses and glasses together. You’ll be able to find a lot of deals at Target; just ask the sales associate!
Each box has six lenses, and eight boxes (four of right, four of left) is a year’s supply. If you wear contact lenses on a daily basis, it is important to throw away old lenses every two weeks. If you are planning to wear you colored contact lenses occasionally, then you can purchase fewer boxes. Buying more boxes usually means a cheaper price, but be aware that contact lenses have an expiry date.
I hope this was helpful, and if you need any more information, go to an eye doctor!
Good luck.
you can get them at walmart =]
