I Have Headaches and Vision Problems?

I’ve been having headaches, sometimes daily and my vision is limited at times. My doctor requested and MRI. He also requested an exam by an ophthalmologist which did not reveal anything. What could the MRI be for?

Hi there, I have had a similar situation I had a constant migraine since May 2009 which has only just about gone away after a healing, anyway…

I had an MRI and a CT Scan. The scans will be to check to see if you have a small bleed in the brain or if there is a tumor. I had lots of tests done and it all came back clear and I have had to live with the migraine 24/7. If you need someone who is in the same boat as you, feel free to contact me :)

any number of things. but most likely to rule out turmors and such. but don’t worry to much about it some people(like me) just have headaches also you could just have eye strain. are you in school, use a computer, spend alot of time outside? all of those things can be hard on the eye’s so if your eye doc didn’t say anything then count that as a blessing. and try to relax okay

Those symptoms could also suggest aspartame poisoning. "Aspartame is, by far, the most dangerous substance on the market that is added to foods. Aspartame accounts for over 75 percent of the adverse reactions to food additives reported to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Many of these reactions are very serious including seizures and death as disclosed in a February 1994 Department of Health and Human Services report. A few of the 92 different documented symptoms listed in the report as being caused by aspartame include:

"Headaches/migraines, dizziness, seizures, nausea, numbness, muscle spasms, weight gain, rashes, depression, fatigue, irritability, tachycardia, insomnia, vision problems, hearing loss, heart palpitations, breathing difficulties, anxiety attacks, slurred speech, loss of taste, tinnitus, vertigo, memory loss, and joint pain."

      hello i had sever migraines.

i was 12, when i had my first MRI. turns out, i had Chiari 1 malformation. (Chiari I)
there are many different types. (II, III).

chiari effects vision, and gives you headaches or severe migraines. later stages it can also mess with your sensory receptors in your skin. so you could touch something hot and not know it. until you see yourself doing it on accident. also, chiari can cause pressure in the head. feels like your head is super heavy. that’s because chiari can cause a syrynx in the spinal column. just excess fluid.

trouble swallowing and a hard time breathing can also occur.

basically, your brain is to big for you skull :)

i had surgery and now i am all better :D

what it is- the brain tonsils are down in the spinal column. (into the hole,)

what they did for my surgery-

shaved very little of the back of my head. not even the whole thing. like a strip.
then they cut a long line. then they cut a small part of your skull away from the back of your head at the lower part. then they use electricity and shrink the tonsils. and viola, you’re done! :D

there’s also another way to do it, but that involves taking some of your vertebrae out… :/

idk where you live but i would suggest my neuro surgeon, Dr. Jimenez of San Antonio, Texas.
he’s awesome and not just about the money. :)
