Is It Ever Okay to Wear Contact Lenses Overnight?
I was just wondering, if you took them out for a while and put them back in a few hours before you would be sleeping, and then slept with them in if that would be okay. I never had before, and never plan to again, I just would like to know for future reference. I know that it’s bad to sleep w/ them in and all that… I’m just wondering about it being a one-tI ame thing.

If it’s just for one night, it’s fine. It’s better than taking them out and putting them in water.
It really depends on the type of contact lens you wear. Are they soft lenses?
Most soft lenses nowadays are approved to wear overnight at least occasionally. This is due to improvements made in the materials contacts are made from.
It is always healthier to not sleep in your lenses. Sleeping in your lenses makes you more prone to ulcers, neovascularization, and other complications. These can be avoided by cleaning your lenses properly and seeing your eye doctor yearly.
If you take your lenses out and clean them just before sleeping, make sure you leave them in the disinfecting solution for the required amount of time in order to kill bacteria.
I did as a one time thing, I am ok. But it can cause abrasions, infection, stuff like that, not cool to look like a pirate just for being a bit lazy.
Having sleep disorder problem is definitely not something I would wish to anyone. Hopefully, we’ll find a cure soon.
