Is It Gay/feminine for Guys to Wear Colored Contact Lenses?

I’m a 17 year old asian guy and wear contacts cuz my eyes are bad. I tried wearing hazel contacts, even though my eyes are normally brown. I’ve gotten many complI aments from girls but guys and some girls say its gay.
I think colored contacts enhance my look and make me look multi-ethnic which is cool. What r u guys’ opinions on guys who wear colored contacts. I dont want people to think I am gay or anything.

I don’t think it does. My brother always wears contact lenses and they look great on him. He always gets lots of compliments from people about his eyes, and the women really love them.
i wouldnt think anything of it if they look good they look good. a have blue ones but im a girl.
I don’t think it makes some one look gay. Their just contacts, its not like your wearing make up. I think colored contacts are really cool. I have no idea why people would think that it makes some one look gay, so i’d just ignore them, and maybe not tell people their colored contacts so no one can judge in the first place.
Well colored contacts are pretty feminine since it’s basically like cosmetics. But, I’m not really sure if i’d think a guy is gay just because he wears them…idk i’m sorry

I guess it would depend, but I’d say it’s not. I once saw a guy at the fair with shiny silver contacts, it made his eyes reflect – it made me think of a vampire, and it was totally hot. =)
hmmm I wouldn’t think someone was GAY for wearing them.. but I don’t think it’s a particularly masculine look. Let me put it this way…I wouldn’t want MY husband wearing them.
It’s not gay. But to me, for either sex, it’s kind of like you’re just pretending and it makes you seem a little fake. But I mean, if you wear them like an accessory then I think it’s fine, but don’t go around pretending like it’s your real eye color.
And personally I’d only wear weird colors that are obviously contacts, like purple or black, just to psych people out.
Good Evening! I asked the same thing and answered my own question. Everyone has different opinions. Contacts are contacts. They aren’t limited by gender. If you you’d like to wear colored contacts, do it. Some people think they are "gay" because they are cosmetic like the other person said.

Don’t want to burst your bubble here but it just looks REALLY feminine to most of girls for a guy to wear colored contacts. It has nothing to do with you being Asian (go KOREANS!!) and all to do with the fact that if we girls like a guy’s eyecolor the way we like our girlfriend’s makeup he kinda gets automatically put into the category of “cool to be FRIENDS with, but wouldn’t go out with”. All my girls on fb commented the same answer “friends sure, bf…uhh no…but bet he’s a really sweet guy!”. If being in the friend category is cool with you and you like them then who cares, keep wearing them (try out the gray ones- they look really good on me!:). Hope this helps! <3 LiZ <3
