Is It OK to Wear Contact Lenses with Sunglasses?

Well I’ve always had a problem with my eyes (sensitivity, nearsightedness, etc.) and they are sensitive to the sunlight when I’m driving, especially with my contacts in for some reason. So is it alright to wear sunglasses while my contacts are in?

Yes, it is totally okay, even when driving. Talking from experience. Just try it out for yourself, you will wonder how natural it is.

I know of no reason you shouldn’t use non-prescription sunglasses over contacts. In fact most doctors recommend it.

It’s ok to wear sunglasses over contact lenses, except when your sunglasses are polarized. This is because polarized contact lenses reduce the amount of light that enters the eye. In addition, only one of the two can be prescription; either the sunglasses or the contact lens (some people wear contact lenses with good UV protection under cheap, non UV protecting, sunglasses).

    Hope this helps!
