When your power for long distance is in +, you need contact lenses of higher plus.
A +7.00D of spectacle power will translate to around +7.50 of contact lens power.
If you are nearing or have crossed 40 years of age, you need a spectacle to be worn over your contact lens for doing near work.

Your muscle balance (coordination of two eyes) is also to be assessed with contact lenses on.

Seems like you have a simple problem that needs a very small remedy and YOU WILL BE ALL RIGHT.

It actually sounds like they aren’t strong enough – just from the numbers.

With a + powered lens the contact lens will be stronger than your glasses prescription – usually I would start with a +7.50 if you are +7.00 in your specs – and a – lens is less – -6.50 if you are -7.00. That’s just because the contact lens is (obviously) closer to your eye than a spectacle lens – it’s just the physics of it.

It’s impossible to check over the internet though – you need to see your optometrist and have them check the "over-refraction" – basically if they need to adjust the power of your contact lens.

Unusual symptoms though – most people get a headache rather than a stomach ache.

I have a very high prescription as well (-7.0)and all I can say is it’s better to have a prescroption that is a bit lower than too high. If your prescription is too high, it can make you nausious with very bad headaches and strain your eye muscles so your vision gets weaker than what it’s supposed to be. Also if you have a normal prescription or higher and you do alot of reading or close-up work, this can also make your prescription worse. My eye doctor says that with being in school and doing so much reading that she recommends having glasses that are a bit weaker than what my prescription is supposed to be so my eyes don’t strain or get worse.

its normal for contact lens prescriptions to be different to eyeglass prescription because they are worn on the eye itself.

my contact lens are weaker then the my prescription for my glasses, i would get them rechecked. explain all the problems and they will adjust

    my contacts are R: – 6.0 , L -7.25
    my glasses are R: -6.50, L-8.0

  • its a normal prescription, and its very difficult to look over it through internet.

  • No your prescription is not too high just from the numbers, but it is really very difficult to look over through internet.

  • I think its not so enough, but for your sake check it out.
