Is There a Website Where I Can Get Colored Contacts Without Going to the Doctor?

I want colored contacts, but I don’t need corrective lenses, just the lenses. Does anyone know a website I can order these from without having to see a doctor? Thanks!

The websites will require the measurements for any contacts, prescription or nonprescription colored contacts. There are different base curve measurements available and only an eye doctor can take those measurements.

Putting a contact that doesn’t fit your eye can cause not only discomfort and irritation, but also has the potential of harming your cornea with tiny microscopic scratches, the part of the eye the contact touches, without a correct fit.

No. You need a prescription. The lenses have more specifications that just the power of a lense (Or lack there of) There are diameters and steepness measurements that have to be specified and that can only be measured by a Doctor during an exam. If you do buy them on the black market, beware….many people have ended up hurt by having wrong sizes and it can be serious. Do it right, do not harm your sight! Get a correct exam from your doctor and let them order your cosmetic contacts for you the right way.

Go through a bunch of brands first bcuz they all have different colors which will give you a lot of choices. You can also go to your eye clinic and get as many samples of any brand you want cuz that way it’ll be easier as you can try them on and see which color suits you best before ordering online (that’s what I do).
    I hope this helps.
    Good Luck………..

Regardless of whether or not you need a correction, it is illegal to obtain contact lenses without a valid prescription – period. Contact lenses are not a "one size fits all" fashion accessory. They are a medical device regulated by the FDA, just like any other prescription medication and written prescriptions are required BY LAW and can only be issued when you see an Optometrist. Contact lenses come in different base curves and different diameters. Wearing contacts that are not the right base curve and/or diameter can cause serious complications. Contacts aren’t like shoes or handbags or other things you buy to match your outfit or your mood…and any place online that sells contacts will, or should, require that you provide them with the name and phone number and fax number of your Optometrist so that they can verify that you indeed, have a valid prescription and if they cannot verify this information, they will not fill your order.

These are your eyes people…the only set you’ll ever get. Its not like when your teeth fall out and you can be fit with dentures. Once you’ve damaged your vision…it’s gone. For Pete’s sake…just make an appointment with the eye doctor!!!
