One Contact Lens Only?

My eye doctor said only one of my eyes is bad. He said I would either need glasses w/ one lense just clear (no magnification.) Or just buy one contact lens for my bad eye. Is he serious…does anyone actually do that? They don’t bother me that bad, but my mom insists I need it.

That’s normal and my aunt does the same thing and I would recommend that you do it because the longer u go without the lenses the worse your eyesight will get!!!!

There is nothing wrong with what the doctor said. If you only have one bad eye you only need to correct that eye. With clear contacts you only need one lens, but with colored contacts or eyeglasses you would use a lens without power for the good eye.

its not unusual- I’m in the exact same situation as you as my left eye has normal 20/20 vision but my right eye is -2.00 or 20/200.
Most people with this situation either choose to go without correction completely or use glasses/contacts to correct the weaker eye.
