I was on sparknotes and an ad was on the page for a "free trial pair oc contacts". i thought it would be cool to get purple ones and then it said to take this to an eye man and get your "free in-office trial of FreshLook color contact lenses."
Does that mean i only get to try them on or do i actually get to keep them?

After going in for an eye exam, if i have an astigmatism, how long would it be to get a pair of contact lenses? I have no experience with them and I am not sure. my glasses just broke and getting another pair would take almost a week. i need to b able to see for work and to drive [obviously]. would getting a pair of contacts be given to me in less than 24hrs or would i have to wait for them to be made which could take days?

hey,I am a 16 year old guy..
Well,just like anyone else,i’d like to wear those colored lenses just for fun (also,to see what its like)..for a few days..
but my parents wont get them for me because they think its only for girls..they actually think that its gay for a guy to try them..and they know theyre safe..
anyway,i know that in many places,yoyou can get them without a prescription from an optician..but i dont know how to wear them? (my parents obviously wont take me to an optician)
i heard that you can damage your eye if you dont know how to wear/remove them..
could anyone tell me how to wear/remove them? someone who has worn contact lenses?
So, basically,is it enough to ask for advice on how to wear them? or is there anything else that the optician warns you about them?

once i was at the place buying contact lenses and the woman who was selling it was wearing a pair which i really liked but she didnt have those and now i forgot the name of the color but i remember how they look…..they were totally clear but as she was turning and tilting sideways and all you could see a silver shine in her lenses it was sort of a silver tint or something. but I am not sure does any one know about that? and yeh which brand of contact lenses are the softest and cost less?

I know America’s Best is known for their glasses and contacts are affordable prices. I heard that America’s Best sells boxes of contacts for .49 a box. Do they sell colored contact lenses too? I don’t like wearing clear contacts.I want to stick with the violet and gray contacts I been wearing since I was a teen. When I wear clear contacts, I’m just another face in the crowd.Some of my relatives don’t notice me when I wear clear contacts.I don’t get any male attention, hardly. The elderly don’t bombard me with pinches on my cheeks when I wear clear contacts.I’m just another face in the crowd. When I wear violet or gray contacts I get the elderly pinching me on my cheeks and telling me how adorable I am and I get male attention and my relatives don’t walk past me.I prefer that versus being another face in the crowd.I don’t like to be like everyone else.Please tell me that America’s Best sells colored lenses.
My eyes are close to dark brown.I once was forced to wear clear contacts for a month bc mom didn’t have money for the colored ones that month, and it was so bad.My aunt walked right past me and didn’t notice me.I had to say hi in order to get her attention.But when I wear the violet or gray contacts, my relatives notice me right away.I didn’t get any male attention.When I wear clear lenses I look like the rest of my black race.I’m just another face in the crowd and I like to stand out, so I want to continue wearing the gray and violet lenses like I been doing since high school.These are my trade marks.When I had to wear those clear lenses I even got ignored at my church.I ended up having to say hi out loud to get attention.They said sorry didn’t notice you and that I don’t stand out as much without the violet eyes.Even my little cousins overlooked me.I just don’t stand out without them.

My doctor told me to get D3 durasoft toric contact lenses that are made to order and are extended wear(wear for a year). they are very expensive, they cost me 258$ for 1 pairs after insurance had pay for some of it already. I looked online and i can get two for around 200$ which is cheaper, but I was just wonder if i had to get this brand, or of there are others out there? i asked my doctor and he didn’t really tell me much.

The correction for my eyes are not that bad its just the shape of my eye that is making my contacts cost so much!! My left eye is the reason i have to get these made to order right (-2.75 for cylinder)? is there anyway i can get the made to order for my left eye and a different type (cheaper) for my right eye?

Just had an eye exam done at Lenscrafters. I was told my astigmatism is .75 in one eye and .125 in another. In diopters, how bad is this? Or is it I ampossible to know from those numbers? Should I ask them for a diopter based measurement when I return to pick up my prescription this evening?

I plan on enlisting very soon, making this information pertinent.

they are colored, called solotica.
i currently wear freshlook colorblends, but i like the look of the soloticas more, they look more natural.

i asked my mom if i can buy a pair, and she said that yoyou can’t just buy contacts online, you have to make sure they work with your eyes. why is that? they’re just like regular contacts. and when i got my first pair from my eye doctor they didn’t even do anything, just gave it to me and i was free to go, like no tests or anything to make sure they "worked" for me…
