I think brown eyes are great. But SOME girls like to wear blue, green, or gray (the worst one) contacts. The worst part isn’t even how unnatural it looks, but the idea that these girls are envious of blue and green eyed people and make them out to seem more distinguished…

Look Miss penn. It’s not the fact that they are colored. I have nothing against naturally colored eyed people. Yeah if you’re naturally blue, that’s great. But I hate anything unnatural. I don’t see why brown eyed girls have to do something like get colored contacts when brown eyes are already pretty. Again, NO hair is NOT the same thing. Why do people always use that lame false analogy?

Ive worn contacts before. This was a new office.They did not let me wear my old brand and charged me for a fitting session after my eye exam which took mere moments since I needed no assistantance. The lady then tried to get me to purchase 1 year on the spot for 0 which seems outrageous to me, then tried to talk me into purchasing Gucci sunglasses(I had no interest in sunglasses). I said Id wait a week to see how the contacts feel. I asked why she chose the brand she did she said its cause they’re inexpensive & its the only brand they keep in stock.
Well they feel HORRIBLE already, its only been 2 days. They feel dry and grungy, I have to keep cleaning them throughout the day. They are coopervision contacts but I am not sure which kind. Im glad I did not buy 1 years worth. Will I be charged (AGAIN) for a refit into another brand? And are they charging to much for their contacts in general (no abnormalities, no astigmatism, script is only -2.25) Should I go somewhere else?
It was extra, in fact I made the appointment just to get contacts and I got there and they tried to reschedule me AFTER my normal eye exam. I said "I made this appointment for contacts and I told the receptionist that." so they squeezed me in and charged me on top of the eye exam which was covered by insurance. I dont understand because I cant see being charged for someone handing me something then leaving the room and looking in my eye real quick to see if they cover the places they’re supposed to cover (PS this wasnt even the doctor I was seeing for the contacts, I believe she was just a sales associate of sorts.

I plan on going an eye exam from Lenscrafters and to get prescription contact lens. I know that I have to pay a .00 co-pay. But I was wondering how much did you pay for your prescription contacts? I always used to get my eyes checkd regularly while I boght my contact lenses from Boots a few years ago. Then me and my husband travelled around a lot and found it easier just to order them online instead of going to the opticians. I ended up putting off making appointments for checkups as I would have to register with a new optician each tI ame (and also i was worried that they would be annoyed I was buying lenses online and not from them and also tell me off for not having a checkup sooner!) its ended up being at least 3 or four years now since me or my husband has had a checkup and so I really am going to make us both appointments to check our eyes are ok. I jsut wondered how bad is it that we havnt gone for years? :S has anyone else done this, i’m guessing we can’t be the only ones as I know at least one other couple that got into the same predicament! do you think the opticians will be horrible to us for not going for so long? i am mainly worried about them saying we’ve damaged our eyes badly or that we can’t wear contact lenses anymore :S w have been doing all the correct things (changing lense every month, with new cases and new solution) I just want to know if anyone else ever had this worry about going back to an optician and what happened when you did? thanks!

The contacts I usually wear are this brand called Focus Dailies, where I dispose of them each day after wearing them.

I’ve been looking online at custom contact lens(the ones with designs on them etc), and they don’t seem to offer them in a prescription… or with an option for a size change..

Aren’t peoples eyes different sizes? How are non-prescription contact lenses legitly sold without offering the ability to select the size?

Is it safe to wear a nonperscription lens overtop of a prescription one?

So my mother has heard a weird rumor that the color from colored contacts can leak and cause permanent damage to your eyes. Is this true? For this reason she is not letting me get colored contacts. Please provide any proof if possible (my mother is very logical).
I personally think colored contacts are safe if purchased from opticians. I want to buy them at the Sears Optical Center. I am 14 years old and I have worn glasses for a few years now.

I’m going out tonight and was wanting to use liquid because pencil always seems to smudge. When i’ve been wearing my contacts i’ve been wearing hardly any make-up though. I’m a bit wary of getting it in my eye. When i wear my glasses though i usually have loads of make-up on my eyes.

Should i just use pencil or is it possible to use liquid?
