i used to wear contacts all the tI ame. now, if i wear them for so much as two days straight ( taking them out at night, cleaning them and washing my hands first, all that stuff), my eyes get red and pussy overnight and stay that way for a few days, even with brand new lenses. i want to be able to wear contacts. ive been to the eye doctor and he said, "oh, you got an infection", and gives me prescription drops. but it keeps happening. i am an auto mechanic. does that matter? they feel fine at work, except when this happens. can some people just not wear them?

When people wear contacts, there is no visible pupil dilation and contraction that is actually a big part of human communication. An example is my gorgeous Latina girlfriend who has the most luxurious black eyes. She also has a set of blue colored contacts, and when she puts them on, she looks literally like an iguana. The eyes stay the same and it’s like she’s either dead or had a very bad head injury. Is it just me or is this something that really needs to be addressed?

I wear glasses and I’m considering getting contacts. I know that they cost to maintain them such as buying contact lens cleaner but I don’t mind. Does it hurt when you touch your eye? How long does it take to get used to it? The main reason I want contacts is because a girl said I look better without glasses(She took them off of my face to see). Is that worth it? I’m pretty pathetic I’m a sophomore and have never had a girlfriend so I’m willing to get contacts just for that. What do you guys think?

I just got disposable prescription contact lenses and I was told to wear a pair for roughly 12 hours or I could use them briefly, store them, and wear again briefly, and then throw them away.

I might have bent this rule a little bit by storing them and using the same pair about 3 days in a row.

Does this damage my eyes? What happens?

I got contacts last monday. when i got home and tried to put them in but my eye burned a lot and it hurt. i thought it was normal since that what they said it would do at first. then the the next day i was scared to put it back in because it hurt so much, i did anyway and the same thing. i did it again the next day and same results. i stopped wearing them for a few days and i bought a new solution since my friend said the brand I am using could be irritating my eyes. I am switching from renu to opti fresh. i took a contact lens case and filled it with opti fresh then took my other contacts from the renu filled case and switched them. how long should i wait before i wear them. should i wait overnight since I am switching brands? thanks!

Okay so i was wearing contacts for about a yr and i get a 6 months supply each tI ame i buy them ( i change them each month though) it well i accidentally wore my contacts for over 2 weeks then the recommended tI ame i then got an eye infection so i had to buy glasses . i hate them there not even nice and i look like a nerd. my doctor said i had to wear them for 2 weeks so until my eye cleared its been like a month and i really want to get contacts but my mom says there to expensive. and my little cousin accidentally stepped on my glasses 3 days ago so i cant even wear them properly because the arm (sides) of the glasses are broken and i have to tape them on which looks even more ridiculous ! please help thanks !

Best colored contacts – I have been wearing FreshLook colored contacts and they hurt my eyes soooo much! They make my eyes turn really red and I don’t know why. Okay tomorrow I am going to pick up my contacts from my eye doctor. I am just going to get a free pair then get my prescription and take it to Costco and buy them there because they are much cheaper. Anyways, I have allergies and my eyes get a little watery sometI ames from the wind blowing in them and all the other junk in it,but I currently use eye drops for that. I asked my eye doctor and he said to just put in the drops 10 minutes before then put on the contacts. So when I tried them on for a day they gave me the Acuvue 1 day but I was not sure which ones. So I am deciding whether I should get Acuvue Oasys with Hydroclear Plus or Acuvue Advance with Hydroclear. I am 13 if that helps.
