Okay, so i got my cartilage pierced with a needle (if this has any effect) and i ran out of the cleaning solution they gave me so on a whI am I went and bought a saline contact lens solution because it has the same active ingredient as the professional solution (sodium chloride) which is the same active ingredient in the saline contact solution.

Is it okay to keep using this stuff???

If not what can I use and don’t tell me hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol because you shouldn’t used them because they slow down the healing process?

I wear contact lens and my eyes go really dry to the point that i have eye bags at the end of a few hours. I use Opti-free replenish cleansing solution for my contact lens. I was wondering if this can be put directly in the eye when they go dry and whether it is safe or do i need to buy separate eye drops?

I’m taking a trip to the optometrist’s to get high oxygen soft contact lens, and I would like to know beforehand what my contacts prescription would be, converted from a glasses one.
My current prescription is:
sphere, cylinder, axis
OD -11.50, -75, 196
OS -11.25, -100, 180
Yes, I have severe myopia. I tried gas permeable hard contacts, but they’re just too uncomfortable.

I just bought acuvue oasys (the monthly ones) and by opening the blister of one lens i mistakenly tore a little bit the blister of the other lens…
Will the other lens be preserved or will i have to throw it away by the end of the 30 days…

I have an appointment for a contact lens exam/fitting…the only way I can get a contact lens prescription from the eye doctor is if I purchase a package deal which will cost a total of 300.00 inc. a 6 month supply of contacts and the exam/fitting…otherwise the eye doctor will not give me my prescription…The FTC did pass a law in 2004 regarding release of lens prescription but is there a loophole that allows them to do such a thing as a package deal?

About how much would it cost in total for everything (contacts for 6 months(one eye with astigmatism, the oth without), checkup, follow up checkup, etc.) at any of these stores if I buy contact from one of these stores? Has anyone fond a good deal for a checkup and contacts? Remember, any inforation of any of these stores if appreciated….and whoever has the best and most info gets 10 points!
Also, the same questions apply for target, sears, or any other optical center

The cosmetic contact lenses that I ordered arrived today and being very excited, I wanted to open them and put them in I ammediately. It’s my first tI ame wearing contact lenses. The only thing is, I don’t have any multi-purpose contact lens solution to soak them in as the bottle said to do.

In an action that may or may not have been stupid, I ignored the instruction and put them in anyway. It really hurt my eyes (I’m quite sure I put them in the right way and everything) so after about five/ten minutes, I took them out and my eyes returned to normal almost instantly.

So my question is, do you HAVE to buy lens solution to store the lenses in or are they fine in the water/saline/copolymer Methafilcon solution that they come in?

Also, the lenses moved around quite a bit whenever I blinked. I read up on this and now know that they are SUPPOSED to move when you blink, but this was to an almost uncomfortable degree. As in, I could feel them moving and see them moving up and down over my pupil. Is this normal?

I wear contact lenses from tI ame to tI ame but was wondering how I could prevent them from drying my eyes out….

I use Bausch & Lomb Boston Advance Cleaner & Re-wetting Drops.
but the re-wetting drops only give me a temporary relief. so any recommendations? or anything I could do to prevent dry eyes as much as possible.
