The cataract is minor as I didn’t even know I had it till I was getting my eyes checked by the optometrist for the contact lenses.

The eye doctors office we visit has a stated policy on their wall that they do no write contact lens prescriptions. But, from what I have read, by law, they cannot refuse to give you the prescription once your exam is complete.
What course of action should be taken if the eye doctor refuses to give you a written prescription?

I’m a catcher in softball and the sun kills me on a fly ball or anything. I can’t wear sunglasses for two reasons. One, they are difficult to wear in the sport and two, they disorient me. I know nike used to make contact lenses that acted as sunglasses, but they were discontinued. Anybody know where i could buy some?

I just got colored contacts that are prescription and for some reason the contact in my left eye keeps moving around when I blink and irritates my eye. The contact in my right eye is totally fine and stays in place. I’ve been wearing the regular clear contacts for 3 years now and I’ve never had this problem with the regular contacts.

Is there anyway to fix this?

I finally got circle lenses (yay me)
whenever i put in the saline solution it stings my eyes for awhile.
why does it do that?
what should i do?
should i rinse the chemical out with water?

I have been using Opti-Free Contact Lens Solution and after I have contacts in for a few minutes my eyes itch, burn, and turn red. I know it’s an allergic reaction because the skin around my eye starts itching and peeling.

Is this allergies to the Solution or Lens? I even bought new brand of contacts and same thing happens. What can I do?

So, Ive been fitted for contact lenses in the past and now I’m looking into buying colored lenses just for giggles and occasional wear. The ones I want to buy do NOT require a prescription, however, mine matches their size almost perfectly. The only thing is my diameter is 14.00 and the lens diameter is 14.5. So! My questions to you are..

Is it REALLY that much of a difference? What would happen if I wore them anyways?

I went back to the gym today and wore contacts in the sauna and the pool.

I kept my eyes closed in the sauna (there was nothing there to watch anyway) and I did not open my eyes underwater.

I did not use the steam room because of your comments about airborne stuff.

It went fine… I did not have dryness (but I have those disposable Oasys that are supposed to be less dry).

At one point I completely forgot I had contacts in.
