Please Help Contact Lens Query?

I got a contact lens prescription R – (sph)+3.25 (cyl) -0.75 (axis) 180
L – (sph)+4.5 (cyl) – 1 (axis) 180

But ive tried to order contact len’s for cylinder power – 1 & they don’t seem to be produced, Can I just use -0.75 or -1.25, would this be safe to do? which would be better ? What are my options?
any need for toric len’s?

There are very few contact lenses available with the cylinder power -1.00. The only ones I can think of off the top of my head are Ciba’s Focus torics. In your case, your doctor will tweek your prescription to be :+4.25 -0.75 x 180. I’m surprised your doctor didn’t do it already. Maybe s/he thought the contact lens brand you were prescribed was available in the -1.00 cylinder power.

A contact prescription should also include the brand and base curve.

If your prescription doesn’t have a brand that you can order, or if that brand isn’t made in a 1.00 cyl then an error has been made on your prescription….or it isn’t a contact lens prescription.

Contact your Dr. tomorrow because something isn’t right on the prescription they gave you.

Your prescription is quite possibly for glasses, not for contacts.
