Q&a: What Are These Pink Dots in My Contact Lens Case?
Question by xxfatalxafflictionxx: what are these pink dots in my contact lens case?
I have one of those plastic contact lens case thingies and the other day when I opened it up to put my contacts in, I noticed that there was hundreds of tiny pink dots covering the bottom of it (on the inside).
Something tells me that that’s not supposed to happen. Anybody have a clue what it actually is or might be?

You may have bacteria in your case, “A red or pink pigmented bacteria known as Serratia marcescens.” I would get a new case, you don’t want to risk an eye infection.
