I went to the optometrist today to try putting on and removing my contact lenses. I was able to insert and successfully remove the left one, but not the right. The reason why I couldn’t insert the right lens is because I have trouble keeping my eye lids open for so long. Does anyone know of any tricks or tips that I could use to help me?

Additional: I use Acuvue Oasys for Nearsightedness.

I just got contact lenses and I tried Acuvue Oasys, but they didn’t fit right and it caused me to have blurred vision. Now I have a different kind, but I still cannot see completely clearly. Is it normal to go through so many different types of contact lenses?
What is normal to experience when getting used to wearing contact lenses? Like, my eyes dry out easily, so I have re-wetting drops, but they also itch a bit, and ache too.
Yes, it’s the same prescription. I can see fine, it’s just reading letters that gets blurry. The first pair didn’t fit right and were shifting. The new pair is much better, but still a bit hard to read details.

I have Acuvue Oasys soft contact lenses and I use Renu Multi-Purpose solution.

To clean my lenses I usually just rinse each lense a few tI ames in the case. Am I suppose to be rubbing the lenses with my finger to clean them? If so, is it hard to do that without tearing a lense?

I recently got Acuvue Oasys contact lenses. I was wondering if I want on vacation where there was a beach or pool, would I have to remove my lenses to go swimming. If not, would I be able to dive with goggles and contact lenses on? My next question is: If I am on a road trip and decided to take a nap in the back seat, do I need to remove my contact lenses? Thanks for the help.

I started using contact lenses a month ago, and I use Acuvue Oasys contact lenses. I tried Acuvue Advance 2 first, but my eyes felt extremely dry with that type of lens, so I switched to Oasys. However, my eyes are still dry at tI ames (although not as much with the Advance 2), and I can still feel the lenses in my eyes with a little irritation. I’ve tried Opti-free Rewetting Drops, but the comfort these drops offer doesn’t last very long. I’m looking for answers derived from research and personal experience.

I currently wear Acuvue Oasys for astigmatism and wanted to try colored contact lens. I saw that yoyou can put in your prescription and order contacts online. Is the prescription on my box valid for all brands or just for Acuvue?

The reason I ask is because I was prescribed Acuvue Oasys lenses with a Base Curve of 8.6, but when I look for them they only come in 8.4 and 8.8. However, there are Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism with a base curve of 8.6. Can I get those? Does that mean I have astigmatism?
