-I got an eye exam and I got a temporary pair of Contact lenses for a while, for how long are they good? They are prescription contacts and are acuvue advance. Its been a week already, for how long more can I wear them. (how many weeks or days)

PS. anyone know any cheap place to order contact lens?

I just bought Acuvue Clear (soft lens) today, and its my first tI ame using contact lenses.

What should I do with my contact lenses if I want to nap? should I just take them out and keep them in lens case and wear them after waking up?

And can I shower without taking out ?
So i have to keep them in a container/case, but I dont need to clean them right? since I only taking a nap and havent wear it for full day yet.

my sister’s brother-in-law is an optometrist and just gave my sister a bunch of contact lens [prescription] for me. I usually wear acuvue but the ones she gave me were ciba vision and optix 2. some of the dates on there are from like 2006.

is it okay to still wear them since they aren’t open and is it okay to wear a different name brand one?

just lost my contact in muh right eye yesterday. its a toric for my astigmastism. i called my eye doctor and he said that they have it in an acuvue [which is different from my other one] i dont know the brand of the other. but would it be the same-prescription wise? i personaly do not like the new acuvue one. i am a first tI ame wearer and its too soft for me-it just doesnt hold its shape at all.

Why are acuvue for astigmatism cheaper by 80$ on some websites than 1-800-contacts? Is there anything I should be worried about? I bought them from a site other than 1-800-contacts and they were perfectly fine. So why the big price difference?

I just bought a new set of prescribed colored contact lenses from FreshLook. I know from freshlook that the base curve and the diameter always stays the same. But when I wore it . . .

I couldn’t see clearly. It was very cloudy like when you have an eye booger in your eye, and it’s disturbing your vision. I saw it like that.

I went in to see my eye doctor. She didn’t tell me what was wrong except she made me try on Acuvue’s colored contacts. It was still the same, I think.

Has anyone experienced this before? If so, what did you do to correct it?

I have a prescription for a cerain brand of contacts – the expensive ones. I want to buy some less expensive Acuvue. A friend of mine bought some online – and says that he could get any brand that he wants – it’s just the size specs that only matters. Are the people working at the opticians centers trying to just make me buy the more expensive ones, by making reasons/excuses about the prescription? One girl who worked there, said that if I wanted to change brands – I’d have to be examined again and pay for another exam!! What does the law say?
