I want to know if i can use a "daily" contact lens on more than a single day. Especially since I never wear my contacts for a full day. I would then put the "daily" lens in a solution for reuse.

Here’s a sample schedule of my contact lens wear:

wednesday: 7PM to 10PM (Sports) ~ 3 hrs
Friday: 7PM to 12AM (Going out) ~ 5 hrs
Saturday: 7PM to 12AM (Going out) ~ 5 hrs
Sunday: 9AM- 10PM (Outdoor sports) ~ 11 hrs

Would it be alright to wear the same daily lens on Wednesday, Friday & Saturaday night? I would put it back in a cleaning solution in-between. I would use a new pair of contacts on Sunday.

I did not ask my local eye practician with this question since he tries to scare his clients from buying contacts online (which are by the way 2x cheaper than his). He probably also wants every piece of money I have.

I am asking since I think that 2-week lenses are just too expansive for occasional wear.

A couple of questions.

The name of my contact lens in SIH 48 (Monthly ultI amate). Having looked online I have found it under the name of biofinity, and they claI am they are continuous wear lenses (for up to 29 days), however my optician told me I could wear them for 12-14 hours per day. Is this right?

Second, my prescription for both eyes is the same, sph: -0.75, and cyl: -0.5 (I think, because I believe she has forgotten to put the minus sign).

This is different from my glasses prescription, right eye, sph:-0.5, cyl: -0.5

left eye, sph:-0.5, cyl: -0.25.

I really just want to confirm that this prescription is correct, since I have been searching on the internet and I am unable to choose a measurement for cyl for this type of lens. Is it possible she just wrote down the cyl even though that’s not for my lenses?
Footprintz, I live in the UK, and I assure you this is not a trial. I went for my final recheck yesterday, and these lenses were finalised. I went to Specsavers, and I definitely got a contact lens prescription, which has a cylindrical fitting. I am aware this fitting cannot be purchased.

Thanks for your help Footprintz. To be honest I think I for my glasses my prescription should be the same for each eye, which would explain the contact lens ‘sph’. I phoned them up today and asked them to send me another prescription just in case, since I actually had to ask the optician for my prescription yesterday.

I heard about this thing called Circle Lens & my friend emailed me a picture of her wearing them. They work.

I am a 24 yr old male. I have been wearing contact lens & glasses for at least 6 years. My concern is regarding my change in prescription. It seems like every tI ame I go for my yearly exam I end up needing a new prescription. It usually changes for .5 or so each tI ame. I am just wondering when will my eyes finally stop changing? Should I be worried? Where will I be in my 30′s or 40′s? Am I going blind?

Also, I recieved a new prescrption several months ago (left eye -3.00, right eye -3.50). It may just be me being paranoid, but I feel like I dont see as clear as I did when I received the prescription.

Am I crazy? Should I be worried? Any suggestions…?

This is my first tI ame using contacts, so I bought home the solutions and eye drops from Long Drugs. Because I am doing this on my own without an eye doctor, so I am a bit confuse. I bought the bausch&lomb gentle sensitive eyes plus saline solution. It says it is not use as a disinfectant, so does that mean i can only use it to store my lens and i can’t use it to clean my lens? If that is the case does that mean when i purchase another bottle of solution, what exactly am i looking for if i want the type of solution for cleaning usage?

What I don’t understand is what OD-ADD is, I don’t see anything else on my contact lens that can be used to fill it in. Also, my left eye contact lens (non astigmatism) doesn’t have the CYL or AXIS numbers. Are these for astigmatisms only?

Ive worn contacts before. This was a new office.They did not let me wear my old brand and charged me for a fitting session after my eye exam which took mere moments since I needed no assistantance. The lady then tried to get me to purchase 1 year on the spot for 0 which seems outrageous to me, then tried to talk me into purchasing Gucci sunglasses(I had no interest in sunglasses). I said Id wait a week to see how the contacts feel. I asked why she chose the brand she did she said its cause they’re inexpensive & its the only brand they keep in stock.
Well they feel HORRIBLE already, its only been 2 days. They feel dry and grungy, I have to keep cleaning them throughout the day. They are coopervision contacts but I am not sure which kind. Im glad I did not buy 1 years worth. Will I be charged (AGAIN) for a refit into another brand? And are they charging to much for their contacts in general (no abnormalities, no astigmatism, script is only -2.25) Should I go somewhere else?
It was extra, in fact I made the appointment just to get contacts and I got there and they tried to reschedule me AFTER my normal eye exam. I said "I made this appointment for contacts and I told the receptionist that." so they squeezed me in and charged me on top of the eye exam which was covered by insurance. I dont understand because I cant see being charged for someone handing me something then leaving the room and looking in my eye real quick to see if they cover the places they’re supposed to cover (PS this wasnt even the doctor I was seeing for the contacts, I believe she was just a sales associate of sorts.

Okay so i was wearing contacts for about a yr and i get a 6 months supply each tI ame i buy them ( i change them each month though) it well i accidentally wore my contacts for over 2 weeks then the recommended tI ame i then got an eye infection so i had to buy glasses . i hate them there not even nice and i look like a nerd. my doctor said i had to wear them for 2 weeks so until my eye cleared its been like a month and i really want to get contacts but my mom says there to expensive. and my little cousin accidentally stepped on my glasses 3 days ago so i cant even wear them properly because the arm (sides) of the glasses are broken and i have to tape them on which looks even more ridiculous ! please help thanks !

Alright, I’m planning to buy the Tamron 90mm Macro from seller "digital-rev-access" on eBay.
It comes with a seven year Mack international warranty. According to Mack (the company that provides the warranty) the lens needs to have a valid manufacturer’s warranty of at least 90 days for the Mack warranty to be valid. What I can’t seem to find out, is will the lens come with a manufacturer’s warranty at all?

PS: I live in Canada… I can’t find any contact info for Tamron Canada.
And unfortunately, buying locally is not an option… The cheapest price I can find is 9+tax… 6 – close to 0 more than eBay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
