I bought some contacts online…maybe not a good thing to do, I know I should have ordered them from the doctor’s office..but when I put them in I couldn’t see out of them! The opening for the pupil was too small, and my vision was fuzzy and hazy because the lens was obstructing my view. I can’t return them to the company because they’ve been opened. What can I do with contact lenses that don’t fit, that I spent on??
These are colored lenses, by the way…brown.

I want to order a pair of contacts from lensmart – I wear Ciba lenses, but have never tried Freshlook (they are disposables made by Ciba). I have a copy of my prescription – the only problem is that Freshlook have one diameter size, which is larger than what I normally get (8.6, 13.5 – Freshlook only come in 14.6). Does diameter matter a lot when it comes to contacts? I want Freshlook because I want brown colored lenses. I used to get Baush and Lomb lenses that were slightly larger than Ciba’s and was ok with them. Since the diameter isn’t even written on my prescription (I had to look on one of my contact lens boxes to get the diameter), they shouldn’t have a conflict when ordering, right? Since my prescription has to be verified, how do they do that? I typically order lenses from my eye doctor, but I’d really rather bypass them and order online. I’m afraid since I want to switch to Freshlook (even though they’re made by Ciba like my current lenses), they’d want to have me in for fittings. Maybe this is a good idea, but I’m quite certain I’ve already had lenses in the larger size before. There are Ciba SoftColors in the diameter size I’m used to that are available in an amber shade (these are daily wear lenses, which I prefer to disposables), BUT these are designed for lighter eyes. I have hazel eyes, and want a browner shade. The picture looks brown, but I don’t know if they’d be enough color for darker eyes like mine? Should I just go ahead and go with Freshlook, or go with the Softcolors? OR stick with what I have?

well i got prescription glasses and contacts lenses from the opthalmologist and the lenses arent colored.
and it has been my habit to wear colored lenses.
therefore my plan is to wear glasses sometI ames but also wear the colored contacts without grade and the other one is to wear the clear lenses only when i am too lazy to put on glasses.

I have been wearing contacts for about a year now and I would like to start wearing colored contact lenses. I know my prescription and I know what color I want; do you think I could just go online and order some colored lenses without consulting my optometrist? Or should I talk to hI am about it first?

So, Ive been fitted for contact lenses in the past and now I’m looking into buying colored lenses just for giggles and occasional wear. The ones I want to buy do NOT require a prescription, however, mine matches their size almost perfectly. The only thing is my diameter is 14.00 and the lens diameter is 14.5. So! My questions to you are..

Is it REALLY that much of a difference? What would happen if I wore them anyways?

I am a 7th grader and I am playing volley ball next year so I am planing on getting me a pair of contact lenses (i haven’t talked to my parents yet , because I am gathering infos so that my mom will think that I am ready for them )

I have light green eyes and I am having problems finding a contact to darken them. I would like to find a lens that turns them a dark brown – not any type of golden, light brown or hazel shade. I can find lots of colored lenses made for people with dark eyes, but am having problems finding something for my light eyes.

Any suggestions??

I love whatever colored contact lenses that Kristen Stewart has on in the Twilight movies – she has light eyes, too. The darker colored contacts make her eyes look so pretty.

am i crazy or is it supposed to be blurry? i had an optometrist size my eyes and give me a perscription and everything… but when i wear colored lenses, it seems blurry to me. almost to the point where i could see better without… anyone else experience this?!? or do i have to go to a different optometrist?!?

Well, I have two unequal pupils, both of which respond to light. It is hereditary, and there is nothing to worry about. This week, I am getting a new pair of contact, which I want to be opaque colored contacts. I am looking into getting the Acuve2 colored lenses for myself and want to know how well do colored contacts perfom for covering up this aberrant sizing of my pupils. I have brown eyes and will get brown colored contacts. Will nobody notice that my two pupils are of different sizes? Will I still be able to see with the opaque colored contacts? What happens when the pupils dilate and contract with colored contacts?

Im going to get a new contact prescription soon, ive had contacts for a couple years and id like to try colored contacts. But I was wondering…what brand is the best (if I decide to go with a different kind)?
I have astigmatism in my left eye for which I need toric lenses, but my right one is normal.

i want to buy a new pair of colored lenses, but i’m not sure what exactly to get. i want either dark green or purple opaque (correcting) contacts. right now i have light brown colored contacts, but they’re not opaque & they look really unnatural.

I want contacts / colored ones. And my parents seem to let me. Yes, i do wear glasses. And i feel like i want to try some contacts. Before i start, my friends told me that it can cause eye infections, they’re dirty, and stuff like that.

What are some bad things about contacts? What happens if it makes your eyes really dry? And i know that this might be the stupidest thing ever, but could you die from wearing contacts? ( Really bad infections as i have been told from my friends )

hey,I am a 16 year old guy..
Well,just like anyone else,i’d like to wear those colored lenses just for fun (also,to see what its like)..for a few days..
but my parents wont get them for me because they think its only for girls..they actually think that its gay for a guy to try them..and they know theyre safe..
anyway,i know that in many places,yoyou can get them without a prescription from an optician..but i dont know how to wear them? (my parents obviously wont take me to an optician)
i heard that you can damage your eye if you dont know how to wear/remove them..
could anyone tell me how to wear/remove them? someone who has worn contact lenses?

I know America’s Best is known for their glasses and contacts are affordable prices. I heard that America’s Best sells boxes of contacts for .49 a box. Do they sell colored contact lenses too?
