I’m using freshlook contact lens.. i bought 3 (blue, amethyst, green), good for 3 months.. my first use was a bit uncomfortable but after a month it was okay. the ophthalmologist said that try other solutions that i will feel comfortable with. at first i used the freshlook solution, it made my eyes dry, so i switched to solo care, it’s okay but when i put it into my eye i’m tasting the solution, it irritates me. and then i tried CyClean solution, it was okay, but when i wear my contact lens, even though I’ve cleaned it very well, it stings. i use the solo care solution again, after about an hour of wearing it, it feels like it’s drying, i put a drop on both of my eye. no redness at all, it’s just as normal as it is. but when i tried to take it off, it stuck to my eye, like it was real hard to take it off. when i got it off my eye, it feels cold, itchy and irritating.

i thought it was just that blue contact lens. i opened my other contact lens, the green one, using the same solution, same thing happened. so, i thought the solution was the problem. i bought another brand of solution, Lens Care, again, the same thing happened. all 3 have the same problem..

one more thing, my mom put the amethyst and green contact lens into the fridge for about 10 minutes i guess. i don’t know if it affected my contact lenses or something..

i don’t know what to do!!! please help!

Wearing Contacts While Swimming

I’m going to a nude swimming party tomorrow where we will be skinny dipping and I’m thinking of wearing my contacts to swim naked. I’m pretty sure if you have monthly contacts you can’t but I have daily or disposable contacts. Is it OK if you go swimming and wear goggles or don’t open your eyes in the water?

Can I wear my contact lenses while I am swimming or should I take them out and then put them back in later?

Should I bring a swimsuit?

P.S. I’m pretty sure the pool has chlorine in it.

I’m going to have a fairly long weekend with not much sleeping.
If I wear some daily contact lenses for the recommended 10 hour period, will my eyes be okay if I then wait an hour or so, and then put in another pair for another 10 hours?

hello i’m a 17 years old girl and i wear green contact lenses on occasions and they look they are my real eyes and i get lots of complI aments (not like i fish for them) , but some of my friends say that i’m embarrassed of my eyes that’s why i wear colored contacts which isn’t true i have nice big brown eyes !!

I don’t know why they’re saying this ? So now i’ve started to think that it’s wrong for me to wear them ! i also get an enormous amount of attention which is a bit uncomfortable. like i get on a bus and everyone proper stares at me and say i have beautiful eyes:S

Hi! one of my eyes has -6.25 sphere as a prescription… But many places where I order contact lenses from only offer -6.0 or -6.5… would either of these be close enough to my actual prescription of -6.25 to use occasionally? (I wouldn’t be wearing them everyday). If so, which would be "better", -6.0 or -6.5? Or should I really stick to -6.25? The website that offers -6 and -6.5 is very cheap, while the lenses that I can get in -6.25 are very expensive. What should I do? I’ll be using the lenses very rarely… Any advice would be appreciated… thanks!!!!

Colored Contacts for Dark Skin

I have always had trouble finding a contact color good for my skin & eye color. I want something kind of natural or maybe just an enhancement to my dark brown eyes. I went on a website and the girl at the top has skin tone, hair color, and sort of looks like me. Her contact lenses look beautiful. I just don’t know what color it is (specific name) and I don’t know where to purchase them. HELP!

I lost the case for my contact lenses and I seiously can’t find it, and it’s 1am so I cant go buy a new case. What should I do with my contacts for the night? should I put some solution in a cup and cover it or what?

I explained my situtation to my mom, but she said that I have to wait until tomorrow to buy the solution. How can I clean them, and where do I store them for the mean tI ame? I don’t have old and used solution, either.

I do have Opti- Free Rewetting Drops, though. Is it possible that I clean and store my contact lenses with that, without any risks?

I have a small prescription of -1.75 in both of my eyes and I have astigmatism in both as well. However, in my left eye I have lenticular astigmatism instead of regular astigmatism. As a result, contact lenses are hard to fit because of the lack of soft front surface toric lenses available. My question is, with my eyes am I still able to have laser eye surgery done (Lasik, PRK, etc.)? Thanks

I started wearing glasses at age 5 due to near-sightedness in both eyes. By around age 13 my eyes were perfect and I ceased wearing glasses. Over the next five years my right eye became very slightly near-sighted again and my left eye became very far-sighted – it now has astigmatism. I’m wearing glasses again almost every day (when before it was all day every day) because about a year of using contact lenses bothered me. I don’t understand why my left eye deteoriated, but even with my new glasses on I have blurry vision sometI ames. Will it get better, or is eye surgery the only option in the future?

Without going to the optician that is; I want to order lens online, and need the base curve, which is not noted on my prescription. I have been recommended "Acuvue Oasys" by my optometrist. Those lenses can be ordered with a base curvature of either 8.4 or 8.8. Also, I have astigmatism in one eye, but he said that it is very insignificant and that I can wear the lenses without astigmatic correction. Here is what my prescription looks like:

OD: -2.75
OS: -2.50 -0.25 x 150
pd 58

K OD: 44.25/44.75 -0.50 x 180
OS: 43.75/44.50 -0.75 x 180

My doctor tells me that this is Rx can be used to order both lenses and glasses. But since there is no BC, they are telling me I need to be fitted and must pay an extra examination fee. Also, is there supposed to be a different power for contact lenses and eye glasses? Which one to use and how while ordering?

Please help!!
