Sometimes my eye gets red from allergies or getting shampoo in my eye, and it doesn’t hurt or burn at all, but is it safe to put contact lenses in when it’s just red?
I’m new with contacts, so I was just wondering, and I know my eyes don’t get red from the contacts themselves.

I have an up-to-date prescription but the contact lenses at my optometrist’s cost triple the price than from a reputable shop online. They are exactly the same lenses in the same packaging so why are they so expensive in my optometrist’s store? Is it safe to buy them online? My contact lenses are soft lenses. They are Acuvue Advance with Hydro Clear. I usually wear them all day since I have no clue of how long to wear them. When I wear them they don’t feel like they’re there even though I know they are. They don’t burn or itch while wearing them for large amounts of time. I don’t want to damage my eyes and I really want some advice on how long I should wear it considering I go on and off with them ( I take naps a lot ). hELP ?

I haven’t had contact lenses for a very long time. Yesterday when I removed my right lens, it seemed very dry. As I felt the lens, I noticed that it was completely dry with no moisture; I didn’t experience any pain or difficulty removing the lens. I’d like to know if it’s safe/healthy to use the multipurpose solution I use for the lenses as eye drops to re-moisturize them before removal.

Details: I use Acuvue Oasys for Nearsightedness contact lenses and Opti-Free Replenish solution.

I have a box of contact lenses that have a base curve of 8.5 but my previous boxes had a base curve of 9.0 (same brand). I only need to wear them about once a week for 2 to 3 hours. Would there be any health risks/damage to my eyes?

I have been begging my mother to give me contact lenses , but my eyes seem to tear up a lot and it doesn’t matter if it’s in the summer or the winter. I just say they’re ‘delicate’ eyes. I’m running a little low on the conditioning/soaking solution for my rigid/hard contact lenses and I’m currently in a third world country where the rigid conditioning/soaking solution seems nonexistent in markets, pharmacies, and optical stores–how bad would it be if I bought a container of the soft contact lens conditioning/soaking solution? I recently just went to get contacts and the eye doctor told me that I had the same prescription and gave me contact lenses with the same prescription as my glasses. I had thought that contacts had to be a different prescription due to the difference in distance from your eyes compare to when wearing glasses. I also read somewhere that it made little difference in the power of the lenses if you were nearsighted, is that true?

I’ve worn contact lenses for a few years. For my most recent check-up, I switched to an opthamologist who does not work with an optician. The opthamologist says that the prescription he gave me can get me contact lenses (as well as glasses), but he did not explain how. With my old optometrist, he’d examine my eyes, have me try a pair of contacts and then I’d order them in his office.

I do need contacts to see. I have hazel eyes. I want blue or gray contact lenses. I’ve been using Freshlook ones; they aren’t natural looking, yes I’d know considering I’ve tried three colors of them. I noticed I can’t get Acuvue because my BC is 8.6. So i have some contact lenses that are for 30 days. The thing is, I don’t wear them every single day.. probably only 3-4 days a week. Does that mean I can keep the pair of contact lenses for almost 2 months? Or do i have to throw them out after 30 days, no matter how many times i’ve worn them?

I use contact lenses with only the solution for cleaning them but I’ve seen people who use saline solution to rinse(?) them. From what? I used it with my lenses and there wasn’t anything different. Thanks
