I never had contacts before and i wear eyeglasses most of the tI ame.
I have dark brown eyes and dark brown hair so i look kinda plain. I want to get colored contact lenses in blue so i can look a little different.
Have you ever had them before? Are they bad for your eyes?

and do you think they would make me look really different since i have really dark brown hair and eyes?

i have to wear contacts but i’ve always wanted to try the colored ones to change my look a little. i’d like to try either blue or purple, but i have dark brown eyes.

would these colors show up on my dark eyes? and will colored lenses interfere with my vision?

Normally it wouldn’t bother me, its their life, if they want to wear lenses then fair enough, let them wear colored lenses.
Today got me thinking though, i was at a university in the library looking through books. A girl came in, Ive seen this girl before, she usually has dark brown eyes but today her eyes were a very light blue. So she stood next to me and started scanning through the books.
Another girl comes in with her freinds, this girl seems to have an issue with the girl who was wearing contact lenses, she gave her a smug look turned to her friends and said something about her lenses and they laughed at her. So the girl with the contact lenses walked off.

(I have a natural green tint to my eyes) so she walks up to me and asks me and i quote!:
"why the f** do you like wearing contact lenses, do you know how stupid you look with them on"? and walks off. I don’t know her and she doesn’t know me, i have never seen her in my life and i don’t think shes seen me.

That uni has a high rate of Pakistani pupils, most of which have either black and brown eyes.

Green, hazel or blue eyes (anything out of the dark brown/black color spectrum) are very rare within the Pakistani community, Everyone assumes that if you don’t have brown or black eyes, your wearing contact lenses.

This got me thinking, do people who wear colored lenses on a regular basis affect those who have naturally different eye colors?

I have dark brown eyes and I was just wondering if you got a contact lense that’s lighter than your eye pigment, would it make your eye lighter? I know if you mix brown with another color it might be ugly, but I was just wondering.

Ok So,
I got a coupon thing in the mail for a free pair of FreshLook colored contacts. I have dark brown eyes, pale to medium skin and dark hair.

Anyway it was like a promotion thing for some new colors they got Grey, Blue and Green. It said they work good with dark eyes but I would have to go get fitted and I don’t wanna waste my tI ame if they don’t even work.

thanks everyone!
the reason why i asked if there were any free trials online is because my eye doctor actually charges a visit and a contact fitting appointment..i have contacts already btw. but anyways i just dont think that is very fair to have to pay that much money and on top of that if i like the colored contacts buy those too..my aunt went to get colored contacts and she has a different eye doctor, when she was there for her eye examine they let her try any colors she wanted she didnt have to make a new appointment. idk why my doctor is doing that..thanks!

I just got a trial pair of contacts from my eye doctor but can’t remember for the life of me the brand. I wanted to research if it were possible to get color contacts… the catch is that my pupils are larger than the average contact lenses viewing range. I had a pair of Biofinity’s for a week, but my eyes dilated larger than the prescription bit almost constantly. Any suggestions? (I have dark brown eyes, fyi.)
