I need it for the DMV, but my insurance doesn’t have dental or vision. Wal Mart is and Costco is . I’m still researching. Can anyone recommend any place that does a cheaper eye exam?

I just had my first eye exam and was prescribed with glasses. I am going back on Monday to pick them up and I have already scheduled a contact fitting for 2 weeks after that (under the advice of my doctor saying I should get used to the glasses for a couple of weeks first). I’m wondering, what else could they POSSIBLY test for for the contacts? I used 5 different machines (at least!) for just the regular exam! One, I think, tested my near and far vision. One tested my peripheral. One was the eye pressure (air puff) test. One was the retina camera. One was measuring the centers of my eyes for my glasses lenses. What else is there?! What tools/machines do they use to measure the actual size/shape of my eye for contacts?

I just got an eye exam and the doctor said I have 30/20 vision and a little bit of astigmatism in my left eye, what does this mean because the doctor really didn’t explain it.

I am involved in school, and play many accuracy games in my spare time. I want my vision to be as good as I can get it. I had an eye exam about four years ago and was deemed "Fine". Is it possible to have glasses for vision beyond what is perfect, or what would be considered very good?

I got my last prescription for glasses 2 or 3 years ago and have been wearing them ever since
i just recently has an eye exam and was told to update my prescription.. the problem is I cant afford new glasses for about another month or two
Will I damage my vision if I wait that long to get new glasses?

P.S- I don’t have any vision problems or anything like that at the moment, i just need a stronger prescription i guesss..

For many months, I seem to have blurry vision, but it’s never really bothered me because at some point in time during the day, it would get better. Also, I would score a 20/20 on monthly eye exams. I blamed the blurry vision on lack of sleep since I don’t really have healthy sleeping habits. Just recently, I went to my physician and scored a 20/25 on the eye exam. I’m really depressed that my right eye failed, and I’m really worried about how my eyesight will turn out in the future. Is it possible for me to return to my 20/20 vision, and what things should I do to stop the blurriness?

All of a sudden, couldn’t see out of my right eye, like I have a black blob or veil covering my eye, my vision is distorted so bad. The images I see seem like one of those mirror at a circus, if I look at a person, their face is very small and distorted and they look so far away. I have worn glasses all my life and have never had anything like this before. I went to a hospital, had a cat scan, nothing found, they sent me to an eye doctor, who checked me completely but saw nothing examined my eyes for glasses anyway. My vision has worsened, I tried to call him to tell him the problem but his optician in the office would not let me speak to him until I get and pay for my glasses, I will not get them until I find out what is wrong with my eye, I wanted the eye doctor to refer me to an opthomologist, but I can’t get him on the phone. I was wondering if anyone can tell me anything that could be wrong an opinion or something. It has been going on for the past 3 months, I had the eye exam in Feb and my vision has worsened.
My regular eye doctor was not able to work me in when this happened so I went to another eye doctor, an actual board certified eye doctor, the Optician is the one who will not allow me to see the eye doctor or speak to him by phone. All the opthomologists need a referral rom the eye doctor, which I’m sure he would, but I cannot get her to give him a message. The Optician has the store for glasses and is bascially mad because I would not get the eyeglasses from there, is all that I can think of

I just got a new prescription and my vision loss has become a -2 prescription. Is this considered to be mild or moderate vision loss??

My vision loss started recently just 2 years ago when I was 18. My prescription was always in the 1s like a -1.25, -1.75 etc. which they consider to be "mild" vision loss since the higher the number the worst your vision is. Well I just went in for another eye exam because I noticed my vision was getting worst and now I’ve become a -2.
Is a -2 still considered to be "mild" vision loss or am I now in the moderate range for vision loss?? Why is my vision going bad at such a young age?? I just turned 20 years old.

i just recently got contacts, whenever i wear them my vision can be blurred, and i have to blink a couple times to have it clear again. I used to have glasses and when i went to the eye doctor for an eye exam they said that my eyes got slightly worse, but my mom just wanted me to stick with my old perscription. is this why? i could see perefectly fine its just that its blurring at times, why is that? .. help and thank you.!

I went to get an eye exam today because I cannot see far distances and halos around words. When I spoke to the doctor (I think he is) he told me that I had large pupils which is distorting my vision, And he told me even if he gave me glasses it will not correct the problem. I am wondering if this is true or not and should I go to a eye doctor (In a hospital).

My recent eye exam showed that my vision slightly improved. With my new glasses it doesnt seem like i can see as clearly, especially far away. I usually always wore contacts but with my new prescription i am wearing glasses. Does it just take a while to adjust or should I call my doctor right away and address the issue?

Optician or Optometrist? I know Opticians are usually where they sell eye glasses, etc. And an Optometrist is usually in a doctors office. I want a general eye exam to check my vision to see if I need glasses or not. Thanks.

I had a medical release (physical) today that envolved an eye exam for law enforcement. Afterwhich both eyes uncorrected were 20/5 which means I can see at 20 feet what a person with 20/20 can see at 5 feet. Doc said he had never seen vision that good before. After researching other posts the best vision ever recorded was 20/8… am I superhuman? I thought it were normal to be able to see through clothing? Hahah jk bout the last part

my vision is 20/50, and i have glasses, can bad vision cause you to go blind? i’m so worried about going blind, i am 19 years old and i think my last eye exam was around 2 years ago, as far as i know i do not have glaucoma or any of that but i do have astigmatism, i’m so worried, please help! and can you go blind without cataracts or glaucoma? please be nice about your answers, i’m very worried. thanks for reading and answering.

Im near sited and havnt had an eye exam in about a year, could my vision of gotten worse, i somtimes forget to wear my glasses alot. But lately Ive been having horrible headaches from morning till night. my vision seems like its gotten worse but last time i wasted money on a check up I didnt need, my dr. said my vision was the same.. any suggestions?
