I wore contact lenses for ten years and had this guy from the Lyon Contact Lens Center (in CA) that was supposed to be sooooo Christian and when I told hI am I was thinking of getting lasik or whatever the exact term is he emphasized to me the "danger" of having that done.

I had it done a few years ago and found it to be painless, fairly affordable (1,000 USD) and got 20/20 vision from what was severe nearsightedness. My vision has never changed over the years since the procedure. I never experienced one problem with it and I had two other family members do it at the same tI ame I did and they’re both fine too.

All the contact lens specialists in that office now as I recall always tried to get me to buy the most expensive latest model contact lens too even though they knew I didn’t need it and was a broke student!!!

What pisses me off is they are so endorsed by Calvary Chapel and that is why I believed that these guys were actually looking out for me like they sooo pretended to be

I have astigmatism in one eye. Can they treat my condition with LASIK so I won’t have to wear eyeglasses or contacts?

I have astigmatism fully in my right eye and just a little in my left. I wear contacts currently, but would really like to have lasik or any other corrective procedure. But I’ve heard that it’s not recommended to have it done with astigmatism becaue it might make any irregularities on my eye due to the astigmatism permanent. Is this true?
