i just recently got contacts, whenever i wear them my vision can be blurred, and i have to blink a couple times to have it clear again. I used to have glasses and when i went to the eye doctor for an eye exam they said that my eyes got slightly worse, but my mom just wanted me to stick with my old perscription. is this why? i could see perefectly fine its just that its blurring at times, why is that? .. help and thank you.!

I’m going to my first eye exam soon and the only eye exam ive ever had done were those ones at school where you read the letter on that chart. i was wondering if they do anything else or anything different at an eye examination like outside of school, and i was wondering about how long it will take. i was also wondering if like the person who brings you there, cause my mom will bring me, will watch you take the exam cause im pretty self conscious especially cause i have really bad vision and ive never had glasses before…thanks for the help!

I went to get new glasses. I usually don’t care for the results of my eye exam, but my mom’s been nagging me. She said that my left eye is 300 and my right eye is 600. Is it that bad? If so, how can I fix it? The only bad thing I see is that my right lens is thicker.

i think i might need an eye test just to see how my vision is, because i think it is slowly getting a bit worse. like things really far away go a bit blurry and they used to not. but my last exam was in june.. and i think that you are only supposed to have them once a year.

So I’ve had glasses since the third grade and I’ve hated them ever since. I have a nice pair of Ray ban eyeglasses that are cute but I really want contact lenses. My mom doesn’t mind, but my dad thinks I’m not responsible enough…but anyways I was just wondering how exactly do they work? Do you replace them every day? How much do they usually cost? So, I just got contact lenses (FINALLY) and they are soft, monthly-wear that I replace on the 21st. My prescription is the same for both eyes.

I just tore my right one–just a small notch–that I think might be caused by not using enough solution in my case. OK, now I know. Of course I’m not going to use it again, but since it’s already pretty close to the 21st, should I replace both? Would I replace them earlier next time? Should I just stick with back-up glasses until the 21st rolls around?

I know it’s a little nit-picky, but I want to be as safe as possible.

Also, my mom suggested that, if I do replace them early, I should keep the left one (the one that is fine) in a separate case with solution so I could use it if I tear another lens sometime. Since it’s my mom, I have my doubts. Could I take a lens that I’ve been using for most of a month and store it in solution as a back-up lens?

i bought contacts without my parents knowing.
and few months ago, my mom was in my bedroom, and i THINK she saw my contact case and that solution. but i was in school.so she doesnt know that i know,she knows.

Im moving house few months later.

now that i have two bottle of that solution and the contact case,

I love the idea of cosplaying, but when I get into something I absolutely LOVE, I try and perfect it as much as I can possibly do (haha stupid perfectionist trait ). I want to get contacts but my mom says that some people can’t get contacts. is it true? she said something about her eyes being to dry.
So can anyone wear contacts? (i have been wearing glasses for 3 years) and i have 350degrees for both eyes.

I turned twelve a few months ago and I am pretty sure i am mature enough to buy circle contacts.
I wanted them ever since i turned eleven, but i understood my mom and waited a full year patiently before pushing the subject again.
But now i want them like crazy!

Please DO NOT judge me or tell me not to "waste" my money.
Because your here to answer my question, not judge me.
But if you don’t want to follow that please don’t bother posting a "answer". Okay? ^ ^

I know how to take care of them.
You should clean them before you put them on with a contact cleanser that kills bacteria and so they don’t go dry (My mom wears glasses and my sister is getting a pair soon, so i can just use her contact cleanser.) You have to wash your hands really well before putting them in. Wash with lots of soap (But make sure theres none left on your hand when done washing!) when your going to take them out of your eye to wash your hands really well with soap to avoid bacteria when your touching your eyeball to remove them.

Wear them no longer then six hours, eight hours is the lI amit.
If must wear them longer, take them out of your eyes (wash your hand before you take them out again! > <) clean them again, put them back into your eyes. Because they were drying out…

I know more than that, but i making this long enough so I am not gonna say the rest.

Im going to pay for it myself.
So that if i do waste money, it’ll be mine, not my moms.
My mom isn’t strict, she is actually very easy going.

She never yells or gets angry (She does get angry sometI ames, but she doesn’t yell she just has slight angry tone of voice and face.) so it’ll be easier to convince her.

She honestly, doesn’t really care.
The only reason she doesn’t want me too is because she doesn’t want me to hide my eyes.
You see, i have werid eyes. They have green in the middle, gold a little bit and blue as a ring as the outter. But i like circle contacts because they makes your eyes bigger.

Well, my mom is friends with the parents.
She wears them alot but her parents make sure that she doesn’t do anything bad with them (Touch them, take them out, rub her eyes, touches eye with dirty fingers.)
