my eye doctor said that my soft contact lenses should be worn for a month and then i should start wearing a new pair. A month seems kinda short. My mom and brother say that they use them for more than a month. But I don’t know, is there anything bad about that, like health wise? Because if there is not, then I can wear one pair for 2 months, and turn my 6 month supply into a 1 year supply!

I am a 15 years old girl , i have a Myopia and i’ve been wearing glasses for 4 years, and now it really feels like my eyes is getting smaller or something , the point is i’m sick of glasses , and i’m thinking of wearing a contact lens , but my mom keeps saying that it will make my vision even shorter , and that it’s not good and all that ! is it true? i mean my sister is 19 and she wears them since 2 – 3 years ! nothing happened to her , beside , if i do bought them , i’m not gonna wear them all the tI ame , only when i’m out or in school , just for a couple of hours a day ! so what do you think?should i not wear them?

I am a 7th grader and I am playing volley ball next year so I am planing on getting me a pair of contact lenses (i haven’t talked to my parents yet , because I am gathering infos so that my mom will think that I am ready for them )

I’m wearing eyeglasses since 10 years old and I’m still wearing it now that I’m 13 and my eye grade keeps on increasing. I hear that contact lenses reduces the eye grade so I suggested that to my mom and she won’t budge. I think I have to check on my doctor first but is it true that contact lenses reduces the eye grade? I think I have Myopia and I badly wanted my eye grade to decrease. I have medium brown hair and dark brown eyes. I’ve done tons (and i mean tons) of research and i think id like to get colored contacts.

PLEASE share any personal experiences with colored contacts, pros and cons, etc.

I’m using freshlook contact lens.. i bought 3 (blue, amethyst, green), good for 3 months.. my first use was a bit uncomfortable but after a month it was okay. the ophthalmologist said that try other solutions that i will feel comfortable with. at first i used the freshlook solution, it made my eyes dry, so i switched to solo care, it’s okay but when i put it into my eye i’m tasting the solution, it irritates me. and then i tried CyClean solution, it was okay, but when i wear my contact lens, even though I’ve cleaned it very well, it stings. i use the solo care solution again, after about an hour of wearing it, it feels like it’s drying, i put a drop on both of my eye. no redness at all, it’s just as normal as it is. but when i tried to take it off, it stuck to my eye, like it was real hard to take it off. when i got it off my eye, it feels cold, itchy and irritating.

i thought it was just that blue contact lens. i opened my other contact lens, the green one, using the same solution, same thing happened. so, i thought the solution was the problem. i bought another brand of solution, Lens Care, again, the same thing happened. all 3 have the same problem..

one more thing, my mom put the amethyst and green contact lens into the fridge for about 10 minutes i guess. i don’t know if it affected my contact lenses or something..

i don’t know what to do!!! please help!
