I hate glasses because they are REALLY annoying to put on and off. I asked my mom for contact lenses once and she said they were too expensive and that she wouldn’t let me get them until I was 18!!!
Are all contacts expensive? Do you have to be a certain age to get them?

I know America’s Best is known for their glasses and contacts are affordable prices. I heard that America’s Best sells boxes of contacts for .49 a box. Do they sell colored contact lenses too? I don’t like wearing clear contacts.I want to stick with the violet and gray contacts I been wearing since I was a teen. When I wear clear contacts, I’m just another face in the crowd.Some of my relatives don’t notice me when I wear clear contacts.I don’t get any male attention, hardly. The elderly don’t bombard me with pinches on my cheeks when I wear clear contacts.I’m just another face in the crowd. When I wear violet or gray contacts I get the elderly pinching me on my cheeks and telling me how adorable I am and I get male attention and my relatives don’t walk past me.I prefer that versus being another face in the crowd.I don’t like to be like everyone else.Please tell me that America’s Best sells colored lenses.
My eyes are close to dark brown.I once was forced to wear clear contacts for a month bc mom didn’t have money for the colored ones that month, and it was so bad.My aunt walked right past me and didn’t notice me.I had to say hi in order to get her attention.But when I wear the violet or gray contacts, my relatives notice me right away.I didn’t get any male attention.When I wear clear lenses I look like the rest of my black race.I’m just another face in the crowd and I like to stand out, so I want to continue wearing the gray and violet lenses like I been doing since high school.These are my trade marks.When I had to wear those clear lenses I even got ignored at my church.I ended up having to say hi out loud to get attention.They said sorry didn’t notice you and that I don’t stand out as much without the violet eyes.Even my little cousins overlooked me.I just don’t stand out without them.

i currently wear freshlook colorblends, but i like the look of the soloticas more, they look more natural.

i asked my mom if i can buy a pair, and she said that yoyou can’t just buy contacts online, you have to make sure they work with your eyes. why is that? they’re just like regular contacts. and when i got my first pair from my eye doctor they didn’t even do anything, just gave it to me and i was free to go, like no tests or anything to make sure they "worked" for me…

I ran out of my contact lenses and now I have to visit the optometrist before I can get more.
My eyes are perfectly fine and haven’t changed a bit since my last visit.
Why can’t I just save some money and tI ame and just buy more?!
My mom and I were arguing about this yesterday. She says that they require us to visit the optometrist before they will let us purchase more contacts.
That just seems unnecessary.

Will wearing contact lens harm our eyes in the future?
I wanted to buy non-prescription color contacts, but my mom said that it will result in severe after effects when I’m older. And because of that, I’m not allowed to buy contact lens. So, I’m just wondering whether what my mom said, is true or an excuse for me to not buy contacts. ^

I’m used to just pinching the contact out of my eye with my fingertips because I don’t have long nails. But I got my nails done for an event, recently, & it’s pretty hard to remove my contacts. I mean, I CAN remove them, but it’s so hard! I’m scared of scratching my eye, or tearing the contact. I got one contact out succesfully last tI ame, & the second one I needed my mom to do it for me, because I just couldn’t catch the contact. Is there an easy way to remove my contacts with long nails?

I just got an eyeglass prescripion from my optometrist the other day. He mentioned that I might want to think about getting contact lenses, so I did. And I think I kind of do.

I’m not really wnating to committ yet, but acuvue sends out free trial certificates so I thought I’d get one of those.

So my questions are:
-Can you buy contacts with an eyeglass prescription?
-Do I need any other measurements, what are they?
-Do I need to go back to the optometrist for these measurements (I’d rather not, I think my mom will be irritates that I had to get two separate appointments for what could’ve been one).
-If I need to get these other measurements, why don’t people who want colour contacts (who don’t have vision problems) not need a presciption?

My vision wasn’t as bad a couple years ago and then I developed astigmatism. my actual vision is is near -1.50 in both eyes and the astigmatism in my left eye 50 and for the right eye is 130. I can’t see details in objects far away, and its really really blurry. Is this because of my vision itself or the astigmatism?
