Wear Contact Lenses Under Swimming Goggles?

A friend of mine said he wears contact lenses under his swimming goggles, is it fine to wear them underneath as long as they don’t come into contact with the water?

I’m a swimmer with contacts and i’ve been wearing them under my goggles for 4 years and have never had any trouble with them. Although, they will come in contact with the water a little bit, that’s almost inevitable, but it depends on whether your goggles are on tight enough

Yep. My daughter has been swimming with contacts for a year now. Many of her teammates have contacts. Just remember to keep your goggles on. ;p

I’m a swimmer and I do wear contacts. I just put my goggles on right over them. The only thing is you have to make sure your goggles are tight and fight just right, or water may seep through; and you could lose one. Try wearing a swim cap over the goggle straps to help keeep them on nice and tight.
