Question by marmalade: what could have possibly cause the slight tear on my contact lens?
i use contact lenses that are good for one month (then i change to a new pair). last Tuesday, i discovered that there was a slight tear on my right eye contact lens, so i immediately changed it. barely a week after i changed to a new one, i discovered this morning that there was a slight tear again on that new one, the same position, somewhere in the circumference of the lens. i am perplexed, what can cause that slight tear? i use a no-rub solution.

its almost always handling. patients never like that answer but its true.

if you have the problem repeatedly, ask your optometrist for a more “durable” lens.

I love proclear but its a notorious monthly for ripping. very fragile IMO
