What Is an Extended Wear Contact Lenses?

I just wanna ask what is an extended contact lense because my optometrist said that i am using a kind of lenses that is extended wear and i’ve heard that using this kind of lenses, yoyou can wear it overnight even while sleeping so please help me know the true meaning of an Extended Contact Lense,

It means you can wear them overnight, but in most contacts if you wear them overnight it will reduce their maximum wear time by half.
So if you have weekly contacts you can either wear them 14 days take them off each night and put back on each day or 7 days consecutively

i have extended wear contact lenses. All they are a pair of lennses you wear for a long period of time for me its 6 months. so thats what they are whilst others have weeklys they get a new pair evry week. And yes you can wear them overnight but its better to let them soak in solution.
